MANUEL VIEAU, (Foreign Decoration)262940, sergeant, Company H., 125th Infantry, 32d Division. French Croix de Guerre with bronze star, under Order No. 14.383 "D", dated
March 15, 1919, General Headquarters, French Armies of the East, with the
following citation: "On August 29, 1918, near Juvigny, he accompanied the
French tanks until they were destroyed. He then joined the nearest company,
continuing to fight under the most violent fire. Residence at enlistment: Cheboygan, Michigan.
