FRED E. DELANEY, (Foreign Decorations) 2045853, private, first class, Company M, 339th Infantry, 85th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, Russia. Russian Medal of St. Stanislaus (silver), awarded by Commander-in-chief of all Russian Military and Naval forces of North Russia, July 9, 1919. Residence at enlistment: Portland, Michigan.

HAROLD J. DEVEREAUX, (Foreign Decorations) 261010, private, Company M, 125th Infantry, 32d Division. French Croix de Guerre with gilt star, under Order No. 12,334 "D", dated December 15, 1918, General Headquarters, French Armies of the East, with the following citation: "One of his comrades having been wounded by the fire of a machine gun he attacked the machine-gun nest alone and reduced it to silence." Residence at enlistment: Elsie, Michigan.

HAROLD J. DEVEREAUX, (Distinguished Service Cross) private, Company M, 125th Infantry. For extraordinary heroism in action near Sergy, France, July 31,1918. When his company had crossed in the River Ourcq and captured the Bois Pelger the corporal of his squad, fighting beside him, was wounded by machine-gun fire. The enemy continued to fire on the wounded man, and Pvt. Devereaux, single-handed, with the fire of his rifle, attacked the machine gun and succeeded in putting it out of action. Residence at enlistment: Elsie, Michigan.
