| Barnard Post Office was established on May 25th., 1883 with John W. Barnard as Postmaster. This post office lasted only three months and was discontinued on Aug. 16th., 1883. I have not found where the post office was located on any maps, but it must have been in the northern part of Barton Township as when the office closed the mail went to Chase Post Office in Lake County. |
